    My List of Demands

    1. You will listen to all my critiques and immediately change your prose accordingly.
    2. You will all immediately provide critiques on everything I post. I don't care if you have lives or other things to do. That is inconsequential.
    3. You will recognize my brilliance at all times.
    4. You will tell me how to post a danm thread in the fiction section (couldn't find it in the FAQ's).
    5. You will ignore 1 - 3 above.

I'm happy to provide critiques on just about anything. I'm pretty good at keeping positive and motivational but I will force you to tighten.
I've been published in magazines as both a feature and column writer, have a little book on Amazon that's done moderately well and was recently inspired to write a novel on a subject about which, I have specialized knowledge. I'm about 135,000 words into the WIP and now cutting and tightening.
I've also got a humor piece that's about 10,000 words but it's on the shelf until I'm done with the action thriller.
    Cheers,
    Frederick

Your fiction thread only has to wait until you pass the 10 post mark.

Nice to see we have someone willing to critique. Please drop by the rules & guidelines page if you haven't already and familiarize yourself with what you've signed up for.

    Welcome to WF!

Thanks. I find critiquing helps my writing. If I have five sentences in a row that have word ending in "ly", I notice more quickly, if I have just pointed it out to someone else.
I have been pretty intense on tightening though. By the time I was done with my daughters' short story for the 3rd grade, the only words left were "The End". I actually felt just "End" or even going foreign with something like "Fin" might have been more effective.
My wife said I over did it...

    I like you. Please stay.

Or would the command "Sit!" be more effective?

    Hi Frederick. Welcome to WF.

I'm no negotiator but I think those demands are cool. Welcome to the site, Frederick!
