    Boo

    Hey, I'm Ross
I'm 16 from Glasgow, Scotland and for the past few weeks I've had the urge to start writing a book, not exactly sure why.
I wrote a basic outline of what my fictional story is about and I'm hoping to develop it further in the next few weeks.

    Hey ?

Hi, Ross, and welcome! We have others here your age too. I have to wonder why so many teens want to jump right in and write a book. Why not a short story first? Then a few more. Novels can wait, I think, when you're still in a learning phase of life. Give yourself ten years of experience in reading good authors, learning vocabulary and sentence structure, and practicing with your own shorter pieces. Lots of folks here ready and willing to offer critiques and help!

An outline is a good start. Would love to have an excerpt of that here once its finished.

Hi Ross. Welcome to WF. And good luck with the book.
