    My Very First Post: Hello!

I'm Nick. I have no beard. I write for a college paper, and absolutely love the feeling of crafting a sentence. At this point I think I'm ready to post some of my pieces, and I'm very open to criticism. I started writing about the same time my son passed away, as a means to cope (or try to I guess). I literally just searched writing forums and clicked on the first link, and here I am, so Hello!

    Hi Nick. Welcome to WF.
And sorry to hear about your son, It's true, writing helps soothe a part of the grief.

    Welcome to WF Nick

I am terribly sorry for your loss. I am looking forward to reading your work. I stopped writing when my mum passed away and it has taken me a long time to get back into it. One thing I have noticed though, is that my writing has become far more emotional as a result.
