    Hello

    My name is James, and I'm new to writeaholics anonymous. 15 years ago I was doing pretty good with writing magazine articles as a freelancer, but that got old pretty quick so I went back to fiction. I got into writing romance/thrillers and was pretty good at that, and even was asked to send in a full to Harlequin Intrigue about 7 years ago.

    Unfortunately I was going through things at the time with family and never sent it. I went through about a 6 years drought, trying to find my voice again and have yet to find it. My characters don't talk to me, my plot lines die between chapter 1 and 3, and I have a very heavy delete finger.

    Currently I'm trying to start a psychological horror that has been on my mind for several years, and I have made it past the prologe. Once again I'm stuck, though, but by gosh, I'm tired of getting stuck. So...I'm reaching out to communities now. Maybe I can find me a home where I can read some new stuff, give some good feedback, make a few new friends and get out of this endless circle! Can't wait to get to know you all.

    Hi James...welcome to the forum...
    Interesting read you posted there and I was just thinking if you could explain what is a psychological horror?

    Thanks for the welcome everyone.

    Nacian - Think "Silence of the Lambs" meets "The Town that Dreaded Sundown" but with a bit of a darker twist and more of an up-to-date technological plot line. And if you think that is confusing, imagine all the scenes coming to you out of order, and having to write them and hope you can put the puzzle together at the end, because that seems to be what is happening to me at the moment.
