Thread: I'm new

I'm new and wondering if this forum is for writers or techies? I registered yesterday and today I could not log in. I tried the "forgot password" function and the message returned included "snow is not white" and "never heard of your email address". I re-registered with the the same information and here I am. Tomorrow is another day. I'm wondering if the functionality of the site includes writer rejection practice. That would be cool. The forums I would like to join have large "private" signs on them and threads I'd like to post on seem to have no post function. I was hoping to meet some fellow writers to discuss some of the specifics of the insanity it takes to actually write anything meaningful. At the cost of being repetitive: "I'm new and wondering if this forum is for writers or techies"?

While I can't comment on any of your sign on problems, I can tell you that you have to have 10 posts in the general areas or as replies to other writers before you can freely post in the other sections. This was set up to help prevent spamming...

That is the first I have heard about a login error - if the problem persists please let me know and I will see what I can do. SouthCityTan is right about the 10 posts - have a look through some of the poems or stories that have been submitted here, leave a critique and allow the members to get to know you.

I'd like to echo was Jinxi said, but add that Word Games forum doesn't support your post count (since posts can be rapidly spammed). If you have a technical problem, then 'Tech Central' is best for that and I urge you to use it so that any bugs can be fixed. It seems like you had quite a major error, and we'd hate for it to deter anyone in the future.

Hello Jack, welcome. While we don't officially provide 'writer rejection' training, it seems you inadvertantly had a lesson. Hey, where else can you get that? Please don't hesitate to post any problems of this nature in the 'tech central' forum. We have wonderful Admin. here and they quickly solve these types of problems.
