    Hi, I'm new here

    Hi all,

Well, even choosing a title for this thread seemed daunting - you're all seasoned professional writers, yes? And I struggled to come up with anything more original than "Hi, I'm new here". Hopefully someone will come along to reassure me so i can relax a little

I desperately want to ask a question in the forum so I'm kind of rushing this bit, sorry. I'm a 34 year-old wife and mother, and I run my own business as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. I live in Essex in the UK. I've loved writing for as long as I can remember but so far have only had some hypnotherapy articles (okay, advertorials) published in some local free health magazines.

The time has come to stop saying I'm writing a novel and actually do it - it's been easy to say it will happen when I'm older/more mature/have more time, but I've learned it really needs to happen now. Also I'd like to write an ebook or two, which leads me to dash off and ask my question now.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

    Catherine

Afraid not, nope. There are writers at pretty much all stages of writing on WF. Don't automatically assume that you're somehow at the bottom of the pile or, alternatively, at the top. We meet here to discuss all things writing (and some things not) workshop, shoot the breeze. Even if you don't have a long list of published work you have something to contribute, remember that readers are important to writers, too.

C'mon in, have a cookie, and enjoy yourself. We don't bite. (much)

    Hi Catherine. Welcome to WF.

Hi Craftycat and welcome to the forums. Hope you find something of use on here, there's certainly plenty of opportunity to offer and receive feedback, to have questions answered, and to ask questions yourself. Good luck.

Red with the wreck of a square that broke; -

The river of death has brimmed his banks,
And England's far, and Honour a name,

Thanks everyone! I've been having a good look around and learning lots along the way. Wanted to reply to all the lovely messages but don't want to keep bumping my thread to the top. I might go and wave at a few other newbies now...

    See you all soon.
