    Hello world!

I've just joined the forum and look forward to being an active contributor. I'm an English guy living in the Czech Republic. I get about 80% of my income from my writing, most of which is the specialist easy reader market for foreign learners of English. I'm interested in producing more e.books as that bypasses the publishers so a better % of the income goes to the author - but it is not easy to convince people they should actually have to pay for something online, however small the sum! (Sound familiar?) I am also keen on photography and like to combine my interests by designing e.book covers. I'd love to hear from anyone else who does this and if you're in need of an e.book cover, maybe I can help.
Time for a bit of lunch now...

Welcome to the forum Jeremy. Interesting website, writing something with such a limited vocabulary (you mention 40 words at one point) and keeping it interesting can not be easy.
A Read for the Train, a collection of short stories, flash fiction and verse. Its cheaper on Lulu, 25% discount.

Thanks, Olly. Yes, the 40-word project was a challenge but an enjoyable one. I'm happy to help anyone who is thinking of writing for language learners.

Hi there Jeremy, and welcome to the forums. I'm all for ebooks, as I think they are the future. I'm putting all what I already owned in books on my e-reader, and that will definitely help when I move to a smaller place once I'm pensioned.

Hi Gumby, Is the 'b' silent in gumby as in thumb? Hi Nickie, if you look anything like your avatar you have quite a while before you're pensioned off. While I agree e.books have a great future, I'll be sad to see p.books disappear - but then, I'm over 25 years old.
