Like some of you, I am recapturing my writing dream. During my early and mid 30s, I pursued that dream, working as a staff writer and department editor for a magazine published in six languages, and circulated to more than a million readers. Then the magazine hit hard times, and I was laid off.
At the time, I was confident that I would soon find work in journalism. When I didnt, I was not sure what path to follow. Stumbling through some tough years, I finally sold my dreams for a paycheck, and some degree of security.
Then I met the woman who is now my lovely wife, Rennie. She, too, had been in the publishing industry, but on the design side. We grew together as a couple, coming to know one anothers hopes and fears. Rennie encouraged me to follow my yearning, to pursue my dream, to hope rather than to fear.
Our talents are complementary, so we created Little Frog Publishing. I can write, and she can design. The business she inspired is aptly named because she is my Little Frog.
