Hello! If you had my last name....

Hi! I'm new to the forum and (sort of) new to writing.

I know there are more important things (like writing ) but my last name is Blunschi (pronounced blun-chee). My first name is Willard (but I go by Tripp). If you had this last name, would you choose a pseudonym? I know it might make a difference based on genre, but just in general. I'm not really trying to be sneaky, just memorable.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here!

I think its a cool last name. I'd keep it.

If you make it big, people can argue about how to say it properly.
    Haha.

    Welcome to WF

(I'd say it Bloon-ski, and tell my friends that was the right way.)

Ha! That's how most pronounce it anyway. Occasionally, it gets pronounced like the famous "John Belushi." Then there's the "Blun chee chee, blun chee chee. All so soft and cuddly." I'm still trying to forget that!

Welcome to WritingForums, Mr. Blunschi! (I think Bloon-ski is good too!)

I look forward to seeing your writing on the forums!

I like the 'Tripp' part, too, though I'm curious now where it came from. Nothing wrong with your surname but if you find a pseudonym you like you might want to read up on the pros and cons of using one.

'Tripp' is a nickname. My full name is Willard Ray Sylvester Blunschi III. Whew! Yes, there are two others with the same fate. Tripp is short for triple, (the III).

I suppose the only reason for considering a pseudonym is for branding purposes. Although I will say that there is only one Tripp Blunschi (in more ways than one!) so I'm already unique on the web.
