Thread: Hey from Texas

Hi! I am so glad I found this forum. Thanks to the person who set it up.

I'm a mom and entrepreneur. My latest work is a boudoir photography studio that is growing out of the middle of no where in Texas. I'm a native NYer, so don't picture me with a big cowboy hat. That girl's not me. I look more like my avatar.

My first love is painting (with words or pigments). Both float my boat like nothing else. I was a commissioned artist before I turned photog. I sell artistic portraits now, but something about clicking a shutter just doesn't jive the same way as smearing paint across canvas or crafting an exhilarating sentence.

I've written mostly business stuff for the past few years, marketing pieces, brochures and that kind of thing. I was dying from not creating anything new, so I started writing fiction again.

I love poetry and fiction. And my latest bout of insanity is to learn to write a novel, preferably one that isn't crappy.

My favorite villain at the moment is Dr. Doofenschmertz. That's embarassing, but it's true.

My fav heroine is Rose in Vampire Academy.

I just got my hands on STORM BORN and I'm hoping its good. And I just finished Shannon Hale's FOREST BORN.
