Thread: Hi guys!

Hi everyone,

Just discovered your forum here and decided I'll give showing some of my poetry a shot. I'm a little wary because I've never really shown my stuff to anybody before, so I'll probably just start out with one or two to begin with. Unfortunately I'm in another country right now and don't have all my old notebooks, so I can only show the stuff I've recently written.

I've written a few short stories and almost finished a novel, but I haven't really written any prose for a long time now for some reason. I just kind of gave up on it and focused on poems. I don't have a very strong desire to get published; I pretty much just write for myself and it's more a cathartic thing than anything. Just wanted to see if anybody besides myself could appreciate what I write

Well, hope to get some comments from you guys as soon as I get a poem up.



(PS A random question: if there are any native speakers of German on here let me know: I'd really like a pen pal.)
