    Aging Chick

    Hi All,
    I’m brand new here and have barely even started lurking. I gather you’re supposed to do some critiquing before you post your own work so I’ll try to do that. I’m trying to write fiction that keeps turning into chick lit no matter how hard I try to make it serious. Maybe that’s because I’m a chick, although an aging one.

    Hey there Betts and welcome to WF! You don't HAVE to do any critiquing in order to post work, but it'll sure help the number of critiques you get in return.
    Remember why you like to read, and inundate your writing with your love of story. No great writer ever found reading a chore.
