Wow, that's quite a bit of interesting tidbits that I've gotten here.

So basically I should baste myself in butter and go about talking myself up while throwing money at people?

I like Bukowski's story(ies) about telling people he's a writer. The one where his boss brings in another "writer" just so they can sit and stare at Bukowski is hilariously depressing.

And I thought of Kramer when the butter basting was mentioned, but Brando's good too.
