my week was better than this guy's

KOB.com - 14 tons of spilled Oreo cookies snarl Ill. traffic

too bad there wasn't an ice cream truck in the vicinity, i'm sure volunteers might have been more helpful.

F***! Where the hell was I?!

I'll bet my dad could smell them; they're his favorite and he's within a few hours driving distance.

Forget the ice cream, bring on the milk! LOL

If that had happened in Australia, we would have been all over it!

Nothing like the thought of something for free to attract an Aussie.

(Or rather, the thought of illicit gain. I recall a story where a person had recently replaced their old - but still working - fridge, and placed the old one outside near the kerb, with a sign that said 'give away - good working order'. The fridge was still there a week later. Solution? They changed the sign to 'for sale, $100'. The fridge was gone within hours. )

We had this awesome dog back when I was growing up and we lived in a one story house that was spread out. She could be ANYwhere in the house asleep--snoring so loudly, but if you even got out an Oreo and bit into it, she knew and was right there. She would even be out in the yard and detect Oreos. Then whoever was eating the cookie got the cutest puppy dog eyes. Smell and hearing I suppose.

I've seen a microbrew truck of FatTire get rear ended in traffic in Denver and when it became a parking lot people just started looting. I wonder how many Oreo packages got -lost-. They were probably smashed up and ruled unusable by the health dept anyway. *giggles*

Yes I think that being smeared all over the highway would constitute a health violation.....

I had a dog that did that with hot dogs, especially ungrilled ones.
