My weekly thread!??
My week has been a long one. Upper management is conducting a tour of our market Monday...so, my DSL and myself spent many hours working to get things in-line. I have logged many hours extra over that, and am having to work on Sunday evening to have it look right for their arrival the next morning. I am worn plumb out. tsk.
On the otherhand, I have been desiring to get a few friends together to start a band, again. The first attempt a few years ago amounted to let down. Two of the members were dating, and a third was jealous. I have been talking with some other people to get things going. Hopefully this time, it will be better as I have all new people I am dealing with. We have three singers, a keyboardist, a guitarist, a drummer....but, are talking about needing a bass player. It will be fun. I write my own music. The drummer is a swing for local bands here in Tyler. The pianist is a recorded singer that never made it anywhere. Things are having me feeling good as this week draws to an end.

during the weeks for me, sometimes the only way i think i make it is i just focus on the weekend coming up.. "just as soon as the weekend comes, ill catch up on my sleep.."
can't tell you how many times ive told myself that
a cure for jealousy: an all male band... wait... make that: an all heterosexual male band

Sorry I haven't been on the site in awhile. It has been hard to get on the web these days. I did let some of you all down when I began the rp sometime ago and wasn't able to fulfull follow-up on it. Job...life...moving...all of that and more.
I have been doing the whole singing thing ever since my last entry. I won't do any jam sessions with the guys until I am sure my voice is how it once was.
Anyway, I am going hiking in the morning at our local state park. Getting out into nature is a dang good way to relax and get your mind off of such things as work and all. I was once an avid four-wheelerer...lol...but, now that I have moved my old trails are over twenty miles away and I am now in neighborhood where there really aren't any close places to simply hop and on ride down to. Sux, I guess. The ole' single mans place in the woods was no longer do-able with a wife and kids. We needed more room. Oh, weeeell.

See here...I can accept that out of Joseph or SamWinchester. We crossed paths long ago when I first returned to the site under another name. Joseph, if you know any good music like Keith Urban, I sound exactly like him, dude. Several years of singing under my belt.
Foxee, you have always been supportive of me. I remember the night we met...lol. Quite the kiss. Pissed Sam off real good....hehe. Anyway, my father is a writer that has many many songs in Nashville. The latest to sing one of his songs was Joe Nichols...called, If I could walk backwards. The song was sang in the studio and through some stupid legality crap caused by BMI records, it won't be released until a later album. Since this happened, word reached another publishing house owned by the once popular artist, Mark Chestnut, who is now browsing over my fathers song demo disc with anticipation of seeing what he can pull out of it.
If you don't know country, Joe, then, you have no idea of what it means to have a popular recording artist even take a gander at your demos. It is like a needle in a haystack. My father told me that if I can pull it off and get into existence with music, then, he will loan me several of his published songs to get me going. I am excited about this myself. I have an open door if I have dedication. I have dedication. You know...I have a jam-session with the guys Friday night.
Anyway...
