There is a girl in one of my classes who i've recently noticed. She's kind, pretty and smart, and took a good amount of interest in me. The problem is i'm such a quiet person, that it almost seems to other people that I don't wanna speak to them or am just very rude. She sat next to me for a few lectures but hasn't sat next to me for the past 2 lectures. I think my shyness might have blown my chance, although I have the rest of the year to make things up. The problem is that if I get rejected i'll have to spend the rest of the year in this class, feeling awkward and embarrassed.
I suppose only you can decide what is best. Male or Female, everyone begins to like you once you take a true interest in them. I read a book once which said people are only as interested in you as you are in them. Which may be the reason why assertive people are so popular and successful.

Me three, Intel! She'll be flattered even if she does turn you down for some reason. No need for awkwardness.

Dude, how about you ask a black girl out, have her say yes, then get some black guy calling you on the weekend telling you to watch your ass! Then I had to go to class every day and she was there. Now I still have to go to class and see her every day since shes in a class with me AGAIN! But I don't care. I've got balls. I asked the taken black girl out. Owned!

TY_lol Whats the point of her being black? Are they a different species or something, that its a greater task than asking out any one else? Thanks for the support people, i'm gonna go for the casual friend approach then work work my way around to asking her on a date. I won't pay for her though, I don't even have a job. She does so I doubt she'll mind(what can I say, i'm cheap!).

You know, when I was in college, I dated a guy who didn't have a job (while I worked two to get by). He whined about me having to work every Friday and Saturday night. You know what I did? I broke up with him. Since then I've refused to date someone who's jobless, because they have no idea what stress is all about, yet still somehow think they're overworked. It's a really unattractive quality in any human being.

stop spamming.
I think nice guys win in the long run, simple as that. And only if they are truly nice, and not posing as nice guys.
