Anyway, gals will be gals, but while the kind of girl who wants a relationship with a nice guy are far and few (especially at your age), you are likely to find one eventually, and when you do the gratification is sure to be greater than a few flings.

Or you could become a jerk and get laid every week. Your choice, man.

It's just about patience. Some women will eventually get past wanting the "bad boy". Sometimes it takes just one thing to set a woman on the track of wanting a nice guy.

Just to argue for the other side, I've known a few nice guys in my time and it never failed that they "just didn't want a relationship" no matter if I or the cheerleading captain asked them out. For you it may never fail that women want bad boys, but for women, a lot of times it never fails that the nice guy doesn't want a relationship.

But, like Ilan said, you could always just wam, bam, thank you ma'am as you please. Just remember to keep your eyes open. Maybe you're not looking at all possibilities.

I know what its like, but it seems that they won't even befriend me. I think this world is so used to the manipulative, jerk-side of people that thats what we always expect. I know I've jumped the gun on people who had good intentions, and it makes me the hypocrite when I wonder why people do the same to me. I think that girls find me to be too nice, they figure I must be hitting on them, or they figure that I'm creepy, stalker type. Its hard sometimes, I'm not some wuss either, that wont stand up for myself but I realize I'm not as assertive as I should be, guess I really just don't know how. Sometimes I consider myself a broken person, but I realize I'm not the only one, I just wonder why I cant seem to help myself out of these situations...

Nobody ever said it was easy. I just think that "nice" guys have more raw material to work with when it does come to long-term relationships.

A sort of disturbing trend that I've seen in my age group is women who abandon their families. Perfectly nice, very handsome husbands, beautiful children, nice homes... and *poof* they walk out on it all. Guys aren't the only jerks out there.

thamoir: No offense, but that last line sounded completely typically teenager.

I know where you're coming from, and all it comes down to is your own decision to take the plunge and see where it takes you. The only regrets I have are the ones in which I didn't take a chance.

Ilan: perhpas it did, but it wasn't. Instead of immediately tossing it off consider the meaning of the statement when its not watered down by overuse. I said it because I was misunderstood, I said it because I am not sure of how to express myself in a way that would make me understood, I said it because its true: the best form of understanding is experience...without being me you would only gain but a glimpse of what I mean when I try to explain how I feel.

Edit:
by the way, how would I not be offended when you question my maturity?

Aw shit... I meant to add a winking smily face next to that to show that I still knew where you are coming from. Sorry mate, without that it does seem like a heartless thing to say.

yea, my reply seemed harsh too, I changed it a bit. but either way, I made that statement in truth, and I don't regret it...I don't like being misunderstood, it aggravates me, but it happens, and its frustrating when I cannot get out what I want to say...

Sorry for being a part of derailing your thread, Zombie.

Edit: Thamior, you want a debate on it? You know where the forum is. Or at least start your own thread.
I'm not trying to debate Bika, you're the one that commented needlesly on it. And as for derailing, this is not derailing, its the same damn topic, being misunderstood by those that you're trying to reach. I'm expressing similar sentiments to zombie, and being attacked for them by you.

You know what's going in this thread right now? Something that closely resembles teenage drama. Perhaps you two should meet near the bus stop and settle it like real teenagers.

its nothing like that at all.

See this is what I don't understand. Hodge says, don't be a wuss nice guy, stand up for yourself. So instead of just ignoring the attacks on what I said, I stand up for myself, because I do not believe the comments I made were immature. But when I try to stand up for myself I'm made out to be some immature jerk who is trying to derail someones topic, and its not like that at all, I just wanted to express my sentiments in peace without being called immature.
