Since my sight grew too poor for driving the quality of my life has improved. Buses and trains take a little longer, though not much, but one can read or write on them. Then there is the walking to and from the stop, when the car stopped outside I stepped out of one door and into another, not so bad when I was working and getting exercise other ways, but I reckon it would soon be fatal now. I also save an awful lot of money, even though I take the occasional cab. I am nostalgic for the days when I drove, but it is like having the new model car, I am actually better off.
A Read for the Train, a collection of short stories, flash fiction and verse. Its cheaper on Lulu, 25% discount.

So if Hawkie’s feeling blue about needing to wear the tack because she’s fat, would that be Blu-Tack?

Yippy, so a walk down the street will be like walking through an unhosed cattle yard.

I'd kill for a blueberry scroll, or maim for a apple one. Alas...
