    My first week of college

Two days prior to the start of school my computer was attacked by a Trojan Worm and it had to be rushed to my computer doctor. I was very dismayed as every course, especially the online course I am taking, needs a computer. The very helpful young man in the bookstore gave me the wrong book for a course and it had to be exchanged for the correct one before I could begin the online course. I didn’t understand that TR means Tuesday and Thursday; not just Thursday, and missed the first lecture scheduled on Tuesday. I was so shook up by missing the class that I forgot to log out of one of the classroom computers in my haste to find the instructor to explain. Failing to log out is a big “no-no”. God knows what the repercussions of that will be. Frankly, I feel overwhelmed but I am still excited and learning alot already.

If you don't know, ask; if you don't understand the answer, ask again; keep asking till you understand. If you bu**er up the first few weeks by being diffident you will never get them back - Do not be afraid of being a fool now, it is much less embarassing than looking a fool come finals...

I don't mind looking foolish right now. There were a lot of other fools, including instructors, to keep me company so far this week.

I wish I could remember my first week of college. I mean, I wish I could remember college. Once those brain cells are gone -- they're gone.
