Thread: People can be such a drag

Next week i'm away for ten days of sun and chilling out which means reading and listening to music well soaking up some sun and having a long cold drink. So far so good, but now the pain before the gain. A phone call two days ago from a friend in the states telling us she is coming to visit with no prior word of warning.

My 22 year old son needs me to take him to a meeting and needs me to wait around until it's over.

My mother will be waiting for her phone from me to ask her if she needs anything and no doubt she will.

My wife has lots of last minute things she wants me to do.

My daughter is coming home early from Uni this week and will laze around the house making a tip of the house no doubt.

Our friend from the states needs me to pick her up from the airport which will be a nightmare in rush hour.

Oh and i need a hair cut , i will need to pack but godness knows when as i'll be making our friend welcome.

Roll on next week , get me on that plane, i'm gonna just do nothing laze and read my book yessssssssssssssss

And no-one will beable to contact me , no phone , no email, no nothing. Bliss

Well blues... Phew, wipe your brow now.

Write up a list and tick each item as you go along and when all is said and done, you will be on that glorious holiday.

I have a Dean koontz book i have been wanting to read called "Odd Tomas". I also have some other books to choose from but i'm not sure yet which i'll take ? I'm just about to finish "the silent sea"by clive Cussler. Either way i'll be sunny side up and happy....lol

No, he writes mildly dark horror stories, infact for me they are not really horror to me but some may say they are ? I always find his writing compulsive reading and the stories are rich with characters and interesting story lines that are sometimes lased with supernatural themes. I haven't read a bad one yet so i'm looking forward to it.

Oh bonus, so you will have a relaxing break with a great read... Wonderful. I do hope you get all of what you need to do; done.

When I was 17 my father came home and said "I hear that you've got a job", I told him I had - "You'd better find somewhere to live then" was his next comment. Don't give in to them.

LOL Bloggs ... I'm trying to help along and get him to move, i do feel sorry for him he has a degree in computer science but can't get a job with things as they are here.

My wife is at work leaving me to run around !! It just happens to be my day off so lucky me that it all happens today hahahaha. But next week is coming and i'll be out of the road !!!....lol

Just think when all of your running around is done, you'll have earned your reward of sun and relaxation! Maybe your wife will even throw in a foot massage for her thanks! ;0)

Well i managed it, now just a job of juggleing work with entertaining our friend but the hard part is done. Looking forward to seeing some sunshine it's just so dull and wet here just now so hopefully it will be nice. It's a shame we won't be around for the remainder of our friends visit but she has made some other plans now so all is well.

It's funny how hard life seems when things through you out of sync with your normal routine. We spend most of our lives in everyday routine and when things disrupt that we find it a pain in the butt deal with. Anyway my routine nextweek will be simple CHILL

It's prolly the Costa del Sol. Brits don't know anywhere else.
