    One of those days!

Have you ever had one of those days where you should have just stayed in bed, curled your head under the blanket, and not pop out - even for supper!!?!

That was my day yesterday. If something could go wrong, it did.

First off, I'm running behind from a late night from the night before... I sleep in and go out to buy an expensive sandwhich/bagel for breakfast. I try to eat it while driving. (running late and all). Well I'm too paranoid to touch food without washing my hands (I'm a fanatic hand washer). Anyway I try to fold the wrapper around the sandwhich and half of the damn thing falls down the side of my lap to the floor. I'm silently cursing while I try to pull into a parking spot. Almost hitting a bike rack in the process. I finally get parked, throw my sandwhich onto the grass. Some stupid seagull comes over and starts eating it, sure yah, it just smiled as it gobbled up my $4.50 worth of sandwhich! Then as a thank you, it pooped on my windsheild! Arrrgh.

I drive to my destination, get out and trip over the crack in the drive-way I just parked in. I twist my ankle and my coffee's spill to the ground. Ha Ha

I get into work, start my day with my ankle killing me and my foot resting on a blue recycling box some nice soul was kind enough to find for me! lol... Then I start my day. God, I love talking to the public about their debt. I was called a B***h, a stupid Canuck all in the span of a minute! lol. This man shouldn't have asked me a question he didn't want the answer to.

Him: What should I do? Hmmm? What am I supposed to do? My bills are $2500/mth and I bring in $1,200/mth right now! Tell me what I'm supposed to do if you're so smart!"

Me: Well, I guess the first thing you should consider is you're wife getting a job? (said in the nicest possible way I could.)

Him: *Sucks in a deep breath.* "How dare you! You stupid, blah blah blah! My debt is your fault, blah blah blah!

Ha Ha... so tell me... have you had a day like that?!?! lol

As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. Yeah, I've had days like that, where it feels like the world's against you. I honestly believe so called "stressful situations" don't have to feel stressful so long as we don't react and keep out emotions out of it (this isn't an original thought from me; it's pretty popular). I've known people's whose day to day lives are filled with stressful challenges, people managing their own businesses for instance, but who still are some of the most calm, zen people I know. And it's all in how they react to things, or don't react. One of my ex-bosses was an inspiration of sorts, who routinely faced difficult situations but never lost his cool or got emotional.

Anyway, don't let it get to you, is all I'm saying
Let's see if my above post is deleted without explanation. Wouldn't be the first time.

Yah... most days, I don't let things get to me. I'm so used to the people I talk to now, I just shrug it off. I don't take any of it personally.

And you're right. It's all about how you handle the situations you're put in. Not letting the small things get you down! My bad days are few and far between... so I'll be happy with that!

It takes awhile to get used to life when schools finished. You're so used to being surrounded by all of your friends; plus there's always something to do. Someone always wants to hang out! :0)

Being a medic, I am extremely compassionate when people are hurt and at their worse. I've seen a lot of them bleed and cry, I wipe the blood and pat the tears.

However, other than that I have absolutely no capacity for compassion for stupid people who blame the world for their self inflicted problems and will tell them in an instant to initiate sexual intercourse with themselves which is probably why I don't work in that field.

But yes, the past two months has been an incredible series of really hard to take days with little relief in between. I know that things will get better, they always do so just hang in there and thank God that you aren't that stupid person that was sitting at your desk. That you are you and they are stuck with themselves.

    Hey Blues.

Thanks. I'm sure everyone has these days. I just get frustrated I suppose when they do happen! Lol. I try not to be a crybaby, but sometimes it happens! ha ha. I'm so used to biting my lip, I'm sure it must look like a common expression on my face! ha ha.

    Hi Ditch.

Well I can say that you definitely have it worse than me!! What I deal with each day would pale in comparison. But you're right. They are stuck with themselves and therefore, I feel sorry for them!! I would hate to carry around that kind of hositlitly inside myself. It would just be too exhausting.

I hope you start to get more of those days of relief!!! :0)

I'm with bluesman on this one... My hole life is like that. Sometimes I laugh it off and others, I sit in a dark room and sulk like a baby... Hey, I never said I was perfect!

Argh, having one of those days today. Had a massive fight with the boyfriend, got into work and found a scathing revert on some work- which I'll need to get through by the end of the day. And then I get to go home, clean my house again and cook for said boyfriend's family! Yay! I feel tender and bruised around my soul. I want to hide under the table and sleep until it all goes away... I know lots of other people have it worse, but sometimes you just gotta get your mope on.

I agree Baba. We all need to have our day of moping around. A day when it's all about us. A day when you're thinking, "You don't know how I feel!"

Tis the time to be cleaning and cooking... most of the time getting no appreciation for it either! Lol.

Hope your day ends better than it started!! ;0)
