Waiting room time moves quite slowly
For patients, the humble and lowly
Doctors all hurry
The nurses scurry,
But waiting room time moves quite slowly.
I have had hospital appointments four days out of five this week. Monday and wednesday I had prednisolone infusions (steroid) of 1/2 a gram at a time. That kept me awake all monday night and all but a couple of hours wednesday. Today I switched to the new drug, cyclophosphamide. It makes you tired and your hair falls out (what's new about that? My hair is falling out anyway) but at least I should get some kip. I get six of these, one a fortnight. A much more bearable schedule, and by the end my immune system should be behaving itself again. Yippee!
