Thread: Oh hey, I'm getting married this weekend!

And I am, of course, much more excited than the title of this thread lets on.

I've got three days left, but I've finished all the planning. Well, except that I've only put half of the dance playlist in order. But all other things are set -- a pastor friend is leading it, an uncle is the organist, my cousins are photographers, my brother is supplying homebrewed mead for the toast, my computer is DJing, I made the wedding programs, everything else is taken care of by hired people, and we'll have about 116 people to entertain for the day (with a fun day at the beach of a local state park the next day).

Then I have to drive 12 hours back home, move across town, and have several more job interviews.

I've got three days left with nothing really to fill the time -- and then I'll need any extra vibes of energy that you can send this way in order to stay functional by the end of it all.

It's narcissistic, but hey, I thought I'd share. Besides, the subforum asked me about my week...

Photos? I don't know --- I'm new enough to this community that it feels strange even discussing personal life. Then again, I'm opening up a bit..... Then again, there aren't any pictures yet.

@MJ: Mehh, I'm not really the rufies/stripper/kidnapping/stealing type. We do have a killer bachelor party planned anyway though. In the backyard here there is a forest -- I went out and built a handful of makeshift walls. Friday night we're going to be playing a 20 person game of capture the flag in the evening, and then enjoying a campfire. But we're not using paintball guns or foam swords or anything; we're using raw eggs as ammo. Not my idea whatsoever, but I've been convinced and I think it will be memorable. And potentially awesome.

And of course, thank you all thank you all. After tonight I probably won't be on this site for a week or so, but I'll post updates (possibly with photos) once I return.

Congratulations! That sounds like a fun bachelor party too. If you get comfortable enough to share some pics, I'm up for it.

I realize I am resurrecting an old thread, but I never got around to posting photos! (I've been married almost a month now, and it's been wonderful.)

Unfortunately there are no pictures of the eggfight that have surfaced yet. It was wonderful fun though.
