    Moved

I moved condo's last week, up 17 floors to the 36th floor. I say I, because the Memsahib disappeared back to the UK under the guise of attending Scam3's graduation from DeMontford University, along with visiting many friends and family. Scam 3 is our third kid!

So muggins here was left to organize the move which went fairly smoothly, save for the internet provider and sky tv, both of which basically wanted to disconnect me from the new condo, whilst leaving the old condo's connection live.
It has taken a week to finally sort out internet, sky have to raise a new work order so heaven only knows when that will be completed???

So now I'm relaxing gazing out across Manila Bay at the ships. Or I would be but now the weather has gone haywire. Ever since I moved in I have only been able to see through a hazy mist or no view at all because of the damn rain clouds.
Currently we have a tropical storm passing overhead, which is being quickly followed by a tropical depression. Please don't ask the difference as I do not know.

But once this rotten UK like weather has passed, then hopefully I will have my nice view out across the Bay, the ships and right across to the mountains on the other side.

    He says hopefully!

Memsahib has now returned, but seems rather uninterested with the view, or lack of it. As she is currently spending most of the time sleeping, something to do with jet lag! Think she is waiting for the nice weather to return as well.

You are on the 36th floor? You are brave. But do enjoy the view, when it clears.

I have it on good authority from one experienced in long-haul flights that the secret to avoiding jet lag is to fly economy, and take stop-overs here and there. Apparently, so my informant says, economy + stop-overs = the cost of business class.

If that tropical depression hangs around, you want to batten down the hatches. It’s often a forerunner of a cyclone/typhoon/hurricane.

Only brave if a big earthquake appears and we get to the ground quicker than the lifts, [elevators!]. We had earthquake, 6.4 I think on wed am, didn't feel a thing! Thanks I hope I will!

Ha, OX, I can't be bothered with all that jumping on and off planes, hate flying at the best of times! I would rather just do the long haul to Amsterdam then short hop to UK and crash out, so to speak!

That tropical depression hit wed/thurs. Killed over thirty, affected around 750,000, according to local news. We are lucky as Manila is on the eastern side and everything comes from the West, so once again they took the brunt. All we had was a leaking seal on three of the floor to ceiling windows which left a little puddle. But the absailing maintenance crew were soon out resealing ours and some others. Personally I think there mad! But they do a great job!
The next one seems to have veered off slightly north and is heading for Japan. But it has changed course twice already so who knows!
As long as its nothing like Onday, a couple of years ago. Then we really had to batten down the hatches!
