    Red face Thank you WF

As funny as it may sound, I had never taken writing too seriously. I never take anything too seriously anyway. It's just boring. Even in the worst situation can I find a stupid thing to say. And it includes funerals. I'm sorry. The only thing you can't joke about with me is music.

I always had plenty of ideas about what to write, what to say to the world (that's what we want right?) but never taken it too seriously.
A month ago my mum called me. She had been going through my stuff in my room (at least she admitted for the first time in 4 years) and told me about drafts, both in French and English, a small poem book (all in French) and a modern version (not completed though) written in alexandrins of Antigone in French also, and that I should (this time seriously) consider having them published, or at least some of my later work. Or as she said "water the seed".
Ok, I know very well how a mother feels about her only child, and there was no way she would have called me saying "hey son, I digged into your room and found some of your shit you wrote God knows when. Want me to burn them or what?"
But anyway I started writing again, this time seriously, and as I wandering randomly on the internet looking for some tips, advice, things like that, I found you guys. I have to say I was a bit reluctant to introduce myself, but last Monday I did. And don't regret it.

Strangely enough, eight years ago, when I started to play guitar, I signed up on a guitar forum and met a lot of people (couple of them are friends IRL now), and it really helped. Hope it turns out the same here!

Welcome, Julien. Happy that you've found (another) home. And Iceland! I don't think we have representation from your island (is it an island, or just the top of a volcano?) yet.
