    Father's day book

Today I received a hand made "Father's day book", bound, with four pages, 'published by ...' in the front, title page, happy father's day message, index in the back. I'm so happy the child has imagination.

Hmmm, now where pray tell, did she get her imagination from? The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, it seems. What a wonderful present, Olly.

I had some socks, though they were Mr. Clever socks. My little girl knows her dad well enough. But perhaps best of all was inside the card she had drawn a picture of me... It was a good likeness too. At this point I am finding it necessary to tell that she is only two-and-a-half.

What lovely gifts Olly and Bilston! I bought a few little tit bits as gifts from my man's kiddies. I got up with them when they came through to the room at 6:00am (which is a massive achievement for me as I am an awful morning person), had them paint a card each for Dad and then served him breakfast in bed. We went out to a lovely bird park and spent the day in the fresh air. It was wonderful and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

That sounds great Jinxi, looking back over the years it's all the stuff they did themselves that really counted, it could be the most beautiful bought card in the world, but the picture inside like Bilston describes is what makes it special. They are lucky having you there for them to help and organise, they will probably appreciate it in about 20 years time

I completely agree with that. They should be given the opportunity to give Dad something personal. Due to them being too young to write, I asked them what they wanted to write in the cards and I wrote it for them. Their sentiments are so sweet and come straight from the heart. There is nothing more special than that.

I am glad that I can help them make Dad feel special. I want him to know just how much we all appreciate him and everything that he does for all of us.
