    Graduation Day

So today's the big day. I've been pretty cool about the whole graduation thing up until last night, when I woke up at 2 am thinking, "OH. MY. GOD." And that was when it really hit me. I could barely sleep the rest of the night. I know it's not that big of a deal. I just have to walk up on stage and get my diploma and shake hands with some administrator. It's still mind boggling though, and I'm worrying about stupid things like, "What if I trip???" or "What if my handshake is floppy???" or "What if I throw my cap up and get stabbed in the eye by a sharp corner???"

A ton of my family members are coming. When you put a bunch of Iraqis together in a room, it is loud business. At least I can count on getting the loudest applause. Kidding of course.

I'm just really nervous. I want to do everything right. Wish me luck...

You'll be fine Dream, you'll be in the moment with all your friends, and because everybody will be leaving they'll be nothing silly to worry about like drama, tripping up etc.

Just enjoy yourself, and well done, for getting through it

What does a girl like you need to feel nervous about or need luck for? You have already done everything right, that's how come you get to be there

Seriously, congratulations, have a wonderful day.

    Thanks everyone!

Graduation ceremony starts in two hours. Nerves mingling with excitement. I can't wait to wear my cap and gown. Red is totally my color.

Hey everyone. It's over! It went by so fast!

It was a lot of fun having my family there screaming really loud when my name was called. A couple of people brought air horns, which aren't allowed at graduation ceremonies. The staff was soooo mad, haha.

I'm glad all the stress and work is over for a while. I have three months of summer to throw myself back into reading and writing. I already know I'm going to pursue a writing career, which makes me a lot less stressed about college and my future.

Yeah, some people brought airhorns to our ceremony too.

My school had round the clock activities planned for the last three days of school. I was so exhausted when I got that diploma. My brother and I would drive the 200 miles back home in one car while my mom and new stepfather would drive in another car. One problem-my mom took the keys to the locking gas cap on the car.

My brother and I got to the gas station, and...oh crap. It took a bit, but finally someone pulled in the gas station who had a pry bar. We filled our tank. Then, I told my brother I was too exhausted to drive. I climbed in the back seat and slept for a hundred miles. When I woke up, I had him stop at a diner. I was parched, it was 100 degrees, and the car didn't have air conditioning.

After we were refreshed, I drove the rest of the way home.
