Just had a really good long weekend on the island of Bohol, second time we've been there, both myself and the memsahb plus our good aussie mates, it was her 40th birthday, along with their daughter and his parents, 1 aussie, 1 canadian who are over visiting.
We had suggested the place, due to us staying there before and the owner being english, an ex-bricklayer who graduated to teaching and he's an Arsenal fan. Talk about a small world! Delighted to say that the everyone enjoyed the place as well which was a relief for the memsahb and me.
First day, Paul the owner, organised a boat for us to go off reef snorkeling which was brilliant, even if I only float around on the surface, while the aussies dive down and take pictures etc. We were actually on the edge of a very deep drop off, so I was reliably informed!
Following day we all did the island tour, Chocolate hills which were still a sort of lime chocolate colour. Loboc river cruise, which you have to do to believe it, very cheesy, guy playing a guitar belting out seventies songs as you dine on the buffet, then mooring up as local kids all dressed identically performed more songs and dances, we all just went with the flow, so to speak!
Then off to the Tarsier sanctuary and finally ended up at the Bee farm!
The whole weekend, we left Saturday and arrived back Tuesday was just really relaxing.
We were so hardcore that we were all in bed by 9.30pm most nights after a good meal and copious amounts of Tanduay Boracay Rum which is coconut flavoured, mmmm!
Can't wait for the next trip
