Thread: Ouch

Last weekend was the long Easter Weekend and our family decided to go away to a Private Game Lodge for 4 days. The lodge was exquisite and our ranger was fantastic. Only problem was that the lodge was advertised to have the Big 5, meaning Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant. They had 3 of 5. What was more frustrating than the fact that they did not have any predators, was that you pay a certain rate for a Big 5 resort.

Whilst there we went on a game drive once a day - the roads were quite bad and by the time we arrived home in Jo'burg my lower back had gone into the worst spasm imaginable. Living on anti-inflammatories and pain killers, I finally managed to get to the chiropractor and she took one look at me and said she was amazed I could even walk!

All is fine now, but what a wonderful end to a brilliant weekend!

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I hope that you are doing much, much better. I have always wanted to do one of thoes tours that you are talking about. Alas living in the states and especially the state that I live in the most you see are deer and mouse. Though I have to admit when you are in your car and waiting for the light to change and you happen to look over at the sidewalk and there is a deer just sitting there acting as if it is waiting to cross, it makes life more adventurous.
