    Pain

When you are a writer, at times I wonder if the person that you are with understands that it helps to talk to other writers. That there is no other meaning behind it other then just a person talking to another to help understand things that are in our minds that try to escape or get stuck when it comes to our writings. Perhaps I'm the only one who goes through this.

No. Quite common. That's why sites like this and writer's groups are important. Hugs!

1989-Went throug a series of calamities, including a longtime romantic betrayal. Got to my mom's place and spent over an hour explaining the pain I was in and what went wrong. She was non chalant. I told her I intended to light out in the morning-ride a horse into the mountains because I didn't want to talk to another human being for at least a month.

About an hour later, she nagged me into joining her and my stepfather at a restaurant. I really didn't want to go, but the nagging...nag...nag...nag-I gave in.

We walked in the restaurant. It was a surprise party.

I nearly walked out. I shouldn't have gone because I wasn't fit company to be around.

It's important to be around people who listen. Tell it sister.
They call me Spooky, Spooky Mulder. A joke to my peers and an annoyance to my superiors. Whose sister was abducated by aliens when he was a kid, and now runs around with a badge and gun yelling to anyone who is listening that the fix is in and when it hits, it'll be the crapstorm of all time.

Yea, its true. If the people don't understand you then you have to understand them, which is a pain in the a... neck.

It's just hard for this person to understand why it's nice to have a place to go to when you need ideas, help in understanding your own work. That it's okay to forge a friendship amoung other writer's. I don't see anything wrong with that. Am I clueless into thinking this?

Sounds like your partner needs a hobby. Jealousy and guilt. Argh. Nothing wrong with making friends here and discussing writing, anything under the sun, actually. I've had plenty of times here where some train of thought triggered a thought that might'nt even have had to do with the thread. This place just gets your head in gear sometimes. Still though, smarter to log on when someone is not going to miss you as much, I find.

I think it's all about the person and his thinking, which no doubt differ from person to person. And it seems there's something uncommon between your and the person's thoughts, which may at times bother you much. But, after all, love doesn't mean perfection.

I tried so hard and got so far, But in the end it doesn't even matter,
I had to fall to lose it all, But in the end it doesn't even matter.
