Tonight, I finished the sequel to Dereliction of Duty (check the link in my signature). It clocked in at 201,000 words. It's my eighth novel (ten, if you count two rewrites) and I'm just stoked to have finished it so soon after DoD, which I completed in April.
Now, I'll take a few days' rest and then get stuck in on the edit. I'm hoping to have it ready for sale before the holidays. I should make that deadline.

Sam, you're an inspiration! I didn't know that you had that many finished novels. If you can edit 201,000 words and make that salable by the holidays that'll be an achievement once again as significant as finishing the dang thing. You're amazing, keep it up you give me hope.

Foxee -- Thanks! Yeah, I've been writing since '99, so it works out at about a novel each year. This year will be two, but only because I started DoD in the summer of '09. I'll start a new one come January, and I'm hoping to bang out two more for 2011. One might be a stand-alone. I'm toying with the idea.
