    Blood shooting out of my eyes!

    I'm taking some computer courses, and right now I'm 'learning' Excel. Ha! I have a typically female mind (translation: not always logical) so learning anything to do with math is against my religion. Anyways, I know you aren't actually doing math, just remembering formulas and such, but the blood must be shooting out of my eyes, at least it feels like that. Oh, I always go back and figure out where I went wrong, but...

    I hated learning Excel with every sorry cell of my body. I have since used spreadsheets for all kinds of things but really haven't had to use formulas at all.

    Yick!

    Just as I suspected! They make you learn this stuff, but unless you're an accountant will you ever really use it? Pfffft!

    Nonsense! Excel is more than just a tool, it's a medium.

    Check out this Huffington Post article, or search the web for 'excel art'.

    I heard you can put numbers and stuff in it too, but I don't know about that...

    AverageJoe, that seems like a much more practical use of it.

    Jeep121262, a nice ice cold Mike's Hard Lemonade mmmmmm. I don't care for plain beer, but these are good.

    ...but the blood must be shooting out of my eyes...
    I hate it when that happens.

    Thats nothing, lol. Take a look at a problem one of my friends had to do (courtesy of facebook)

    I have two columns of TRUE/FALSE data that I need to count each row where the data is TRUE/TRUE, TRUE/FALSE, FALSE/FALSE and FALSE/TRUE. Any idea on how to accomplish this?
    After some talk about assigning numerical values (they didn't work, because it wouldn't differentiate between TRUE/FALSE and FALSE/TRUE). . .

    {=SUM(IF($P$2:$P$518="TRUE",IF($Q$2:$Q$518="TRUE", 1,0),0))}
    The {} make it an array, essentially a for() loop. And of course I adjusted it for each condition

    Sounds like a chore of a class. Reminds me of Comp-Sci from high school which was a visual basic thing. Ah, well, once you're finished you're finished and you'll have a shiny excel ticket to your name. Wow, I sound like the old men from my town. "Get yourself a ticket, Son. Lots and lots of tickets."
    Let's see if my above post is deleted without explanation. Wouldn't be the first time.
