Will this week end already...Oh it's not even begun. Crap!

We are waiting to find out if my husband is getting this new job. It will mean a LARGE raise in pay for our family. He works so I can stay at home and play mom and writer. I'll go back to work if I have to but I love my new role in life. He likes it too. The stress is really getting to us and on top of that we have all been sick this last week. It's like a powder keg here and insomnia is not helping me. Has time slowed down to mock me or is life always an uphill battle? I need a white flag to wave but alas I can't find one. It just seems like as soon as we get the smallest ray of hope... the car dies, the waterheater explodes, the hard-drive crashes, and my mother-inlaw comes for a visit.

Ah, poor you! No advice on that last one... but the others, well that seems to be how life goes. We take a few steps forward and then something happens to make you step back again. Hope things get better for you, and good luck to your hubby on the job.

I’ll cross my fingers for you. 6 months ago I accepted an offer from one of my clients. Previously, I’d been in business for myself. Despite the economy, and after a rocky start, I was making a go of it, but it was very stressful. Cash flow was always a problem, and we were always afraid to spend money. My wife is a stay-at-home mom too, but we were looking at her going back to work just to give us some kind of steady income.

Now I’m making more money, the benefits are good and my wife won’t have to go back to work until such time that she wants to. Plus, we can afford a few minor luxuries, although we’re not exactly going spending-crazy. And we’re finally able to get some badly needed work done on the house. Life is better. I hope it works out for you all. Cheers and good luck.

Here's hoping! We've certainly been at that place too, and it is frustrating. I remember when we finally started making more, the first thing I started buying was the more expensive tomatoes. A small thing, but I loved that I could.

We won't find out until the end of the week at the latest. He's been working for the city in verious positions since he was fourteen. This would be full time, full benefits, and such a raise in pay. We have a 18 month old and no insurance right now. We are not on any gov. programs yet (not that there's anything wrong with being on them) it's all been out of pocket. It's just hard and getting old, you know. Thank you all for the support.

Oh, I hear you about insurance! I've been in that place. A haunt every day for me. I hope your hubby gets the job because you do need that insurance. Fingers crossed but if all falls through there are programs which could assist you. And there is absolutely nothing wrong to take advantage of them! If you need pharmacutical assistance you can contact "Valient Pharmacuticals Assistance Program" 1-800-511-2120.

Here's a link to direct you to low cost insurance companies which could cover your baby. I'm sure that weighs heavy on your mind. Keep us posted and best wishes

Well, we got a letter in the mail on Friday. "Thank you for your time but..." Blah blah blah he didn't get the job. So now we have to sit down and see if we can make it through winter with what we are making now. It looks promising as long as nothing big breaks down. We are looking into private insurance and just hope it's not too expencive.
Thanks to all of you that where cheering for us.

Bummer, Vickip. I know that no matter how hard you try to temper your expectations and hopes, you can't help but feel disappointed when something doesn't come through. I also know what it's like worrying about that next emergency -- the car, the water heater, washer dryer, especially when all of them are already just limping along. I hope something happens for you soon and that your situation becomes less stressful.

    Pretend you aren't home.

We do that when my aunt comes over to visit.
