I am not getting enough sleep.
It is mostly my own fault, but by Friday I am so miserable

School or work? Hope it's something you can change.
I know a lot about being tired. I worked nights for 25 yrs. 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. averaging 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day. You really do begin to feel zombied out and then it just becomes 'normal'.![]()
Im working a temporary job while I'm on holidays from university (One more week) and it is SO dull, so I think then I dont want to go to bed at night because I know when I wake up I have to come back here.
On the plus side it has inspired me to attempt writing my first sonnet
Having kids was my route to sleep deprivation.
Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man. -Sir Francis Bacon
I know what you mean. Unless I'm sick, or really exhausted physically, I cannot get to sleep before 11 pm, and I wake up at 6 to go to school.![]()
I'm a turkey!
I'm also a Mentor. What does that mean? It means if you have any questions, all you have to do is ask me. My job is to help you feel comfortable here. (The mods' job is to take away cookies as punishment. Twisted fiends.)

So many writers have sleeping problems, it's something I've noticed that's quite prominent. I'm sure there's a link. Personally, I write better stuff when I haven't slept for three or four days, not sure why that is.
I'm sorry you get miserable though, that isn't so good. . .life is just like that sometimes, we've all been there. Hope you feel better but, get some sleep!
I have some herbal sleeping aid things but, they don't work on me, none of those things do. Maybe try to get into a routine? force your body into submission.
"When I am gone, it won't be long before I disturb you in the dark."
Currently I'm waking up at 4 PM and going to sleep at 3 AM.
MADNESS!!
Carpe Diem
