    My music college program.

More burnt out than fed up really. It's been very tiring fun.

Congrats man. You're actually in college, right? I know a lot of kids at my school who take college classes on the side to get some credits earlier on.

Congrats! 90 credits in 1.5 years is hard work. Are you going on to a higher degree?

I'm considering it Kat. But then again as a musician, the degree doesn't really matter. We'll see if work finds me first.

Degrees are nice to hang on the wall, but not aways as respected as we'd like.

I just looked over at the wall where my degrees and such are hung, and noticed a gecko walking across the face of the M.A. leaving little specks behind.

There's a message from the Cosmos somewhere there.

If you believe further formal education will help your music, pursue it, but not for the sake of the degree.

My thoughts exactly garza. Especially in the music field, we never stop learning. But formal education does cost a lot of money, especially the kind of specialized music colleges that teach the good stuff.

Burial is the only excuse any of us should ever have to stop learning.

My son learned to weld at 13. That was his first skill. Today he has his own construction company and is personally qualified in all the building trades, but he keeps studying and recently wrote me about new welding techniques that have been developed and continue to be developed. He's taking a night course to learn more about something he first learned to do more than 30 years ago.

With thermite you are on the right track to one of the new welding technologies, but not by the cup.

    Congratulations! That's hard work indeed.
