I’ve been living in Italy for four years now and have got used to the driving here, it suits my style. However, for those of you who don't know, you don’t call it driving in Italy you call it avoidance. Keep the road rage to yourself, apart from the odd hand gesture, similar to the Queens from the back of her Rolls as she’s passing mothers and children waving the union flag on the kerbside, as well as the odd toot on you horn. But, the ugly head of road rage got the better of me yesterday. Normally, I would have just ignored the idiot overtaking three cars and trying to force himself in between me and the car in front, before we got to the sharp right-hand bend and on-coming traffic.
Both my hands left the wheel and gesticulated violently and I developed a very short bout of tourettes, which left me smarting all day.![]()
