    Taking the trash out at

One a.m., [I never remember its trash day until at least midnight and my neighbors must love me rumbling along the gravel drive...] and I realized I had not unlocked the front door today. And then I was immensely grateful for the day of relative peace in an otherwise busy week.
We went out in the back yard, walked the dogs, sat in the sun, talked with my son, but mostly played in our batcave all day. The boys with the new Starcraft game, and me listing on ebay and messing on the computer. The girls playing legos, watching movies, whatever.
Took the time to get something off my chest in an email and was rewarded for daring to speak my mind the day before on another matter. Something I have a very hard time doing irl. I think it might be coming with age though.
Did 15 whole minutes on the ellyptical machine, lol. Listening to Blondie.
Now I'm listening to Men at Work. Good night.

That sounds like a good day. I think I need an elliptical machine.

Taking trash out is the worst, though. I used to do that when my husband was gone and I'd put it off so bad that I would be taking it out at 1 or 2 am. It didn't make it any better.

My ellyptical machine sits and collects a lot of dust on most days, but I am trying.
Also, realized as I was getting into bed, that I had not had a bra on most the day either. That makes for a nice day too.

Ha ha. When our AC was out this summer, my wife used that as an excuse not to wear one. I didn't complain one bit.

When my hubby was gone, my next door neighbor wheeled the trash to the curb and brought it back for me. I actually tried to do it, but he beat me to it. What a sweetheart! And a no-bra day... wow!

I've just recently started a fitness kick, like I've never really done my whole life. In fact I was very anti fitness for my fat days in my teens, and even more so in my bulemic-ish years more recently. Now I'm doing what I should've done ten years ago.

I'm feeding my friend's cat after work while she's away, so I went on her exercise bike last night, my first time on one. I watch downloaded TV show eps while I work out, so 45 mins on the bike, and I about fell over when I got off, my legs were jelly. It's a good feeling. I'm going back tonight.

Might leave the cat outside though. Pretty sure she was laughing at me.

Lol! Cats are snarky like that! So superior with their lithe, svelte selves. Well, mostly. Some are kinda fat.

Haha, well Cheeky is a former fatty like myself.

Oh and I just realised what this thread is titled. I hate taking my trash out. I forget all the time, then the next day I put the bag of rubbish in the bin to let it sit there for a week. Which is okay, in Winter. I'll have to up my game when Summer comes about.

Yeah it's not a pretty picture when I miss a week.

And good for you on the bike! I had to sit on the porch and wait for my heartbeat to regulate before showering.

Yeah, it takes about a minute to take out the trash, but it's one of those things I always avoid doing. More than I'd like to admit, I've made a mad dash to the street when I've heard the garbage truck approaching.

The other thing I do that drives my spousal unit nuts -- I keep ramming more and more trash into the kitchen pail, rather than just taking it outside -- to the point where the little swinging lid thingy no longer functions. Boy, that really ticks her off. Almost as much as not running the dishwasher when it's full and not squeezing the toothpaste tube from the bottom and... Well you get the idea.
