My week started by attending an art exhibition based around the accident scene of the first flying car crash. It was a preview on the artists birthday and the cars and power lines were bare bones wooden mock ups you could crawl into and get the perspective from the drivers seat. It was very laid back for an accident scene and the artist handed me a beer before I stopped to interview him. I'll post the interview here when it's finished. But the artist intends to realize his vision of a flying car installation by transforming these models into kites and already has a working prototype that's more dirigible than Mary Poppins and he needs a lot more space and permits to bring thsoe to the streets of my city but if anyone can do it he can.
Yesterday one of my favorite local restaurants and a family hangout for almost fifty years, Edwards Drive in got profiled on Man vs. Food. Earlier in the year I publicized the restaurant on CNN when I held a political rally there and emphasized the folksy charm and root beer floats. Glad it's getting it's due.
I went to the cemetery on memorial day and couldn't find my great grandfathers grave to honor him, or my uncle's. One was a Vietnam vet and the other served admirably in Korea. It's been a long while since I visited and the cemetery is sadly a bit more crowded now as cemeteries get as the years go by. I stumbled upon another uncle's grave and wound up leaving my boquet there he didn't serve but I hope they won't mind.
Nothing much else on the remarkable side of things
