contests and finally a free weekend

Interesting week so far. I uploaded three new tunes to AcidPlanet, where I don't spend much time anymore...they're having an original Halloween Song Contest, which is right up my alley, so I'm throwing some stuff up there. I have four more in various stages of completion that I plan to work on this weekend, working on the spaghetti-throwing theory.
My girlfriend, the crafter, is going to a textile fest in Rhinebeck, NY, over the weekend, so I'll have the place to myself. She made me promise to run our brand-spanking-new "bunnehcast" at least two nights. Some of you may know about our rabbits, the world's smallest Led Zeppelin fans-she's had the idea that they need their own show for quite some time and has run out and bought a webcam. They're entertaining sometimes...and already have a viewership at DammitCam. The cats get in on the act as well. The largest cat has already been Dammited on camera (the "Dammit" is a maneuver in which the rabbit propels himself like a small furry tank at whatever person, animal, or thing is currently offending him by proximity).
The whole thing is just seriously goofy. I actually would have liked to go to the yarnfest because the microbreweries near there are fabulous, but someone has to watch our grand-daughter while her mother is at school Saturday. She likes it when I play...one of the three tunes was recorded with an almost-four-year-old as moral accompaniment.
So there you go...life in our zoo this week.

haha. Sounds fun. I didn't know you were old enough to be a grandfather, I thought you were just a few years older than me.

Young at heart, Matthew. I'll be 47 in two weeks.
