My printer hates me

Seriously, it does. I have a book that got rejected, so I needed to print it again and send to a new publisher (after editing it a bit). The book is 168 pages, so I started printing it. It went quite fine, until there was about 20 pages left. Then I ran out of ink. I couldn't get more bring around three in the morning, so I waited until the next day, bougth more and finished printing.

Then I decided to print the first part of my latest novel. This one is currently 89 pages, and the printing went fine. Full cartridge in the printer and a spare one next to the computer. Nine pages left... and I ran out of paper. *sigh*

This is why they made e-books.

Actually it's probably cheaper to use a shop, all things considered.
Not Kinko's though. They suck and are overpriced. I use dedicated copy shops or the ones in Home Depot. CostCo, etc.

Don't ask. When you're ready it will find you and pervert you.

all printers hate their owners, its well known. That's why printer shops exist, let the owners of the shops deal with the pre madonna printers.

I had to have the work copier and printer serviced this week. It must be something in the air.....I have fantasies of growing super humane strength and throwing the copier out the window. Or better yet has anyone seen Office Space? I'd love to take that thing out in the middle of the field and beat the hell out of it.

I used to work in a school a few years ago and had my office right next to the copy room. For this reason I was in charge on the printer and helped people with it, solving paper jams and suchs. The teachers used to start an hour before me, so I put up a big sign right next to the printer telling them exactly how to use the printer and told them to call me if they had any questions or a problem. I even wrote that they should only use normal paper, not that transparent, plastic stuff they use on overheads. Even so, some idiot had used pretty much every single morning, making me start the day solving the paper jam. Every. Single. Morning.

No wonder some printers are in a bad mood.

Good point really. If you knew people were just going to break you all day, you might just want to retaliate.

Funnily, a guy used to have a lot of problems with the printer, but the problem solved itself as soon as I entered the room. No kidding. Guess my own printer hates me, but some printers love me or fear me.

Same here. Those darn expensive cartridges just don't last long enough.
