What do you do to cheer yourself up?
Before you get a bit like 'wth?! whats that got to do with your week?!' .. its related, trust me
This week has exactly been the greatest for me.. without going into too much detail.. haven't been sleeping very well, been thinking loads, been down etc etc.. and I'm kind of in a place where I know what I have to do but too pathetically scared to do anything about it - so there.. theres my week so far.. so thats the connected part
Now.. the unconnected part and some advice, possibly - what do you do to cheer yourself up? Now if any of you say 'write', so help me Ill swing for you.. lol but when u get so bad that writing just doesn't sort you out what do u do?

I turn on my fan... On high... and sit there in the vaccuum of sound that it creates. It lets me organize my thoughts, which in turn cheers me up. Not to mention bring up GREAT ideas about a long tunnel where only the strongest can reach the end.... lol.

Clean something. But you're a guy so that probably won't work for you. Failing that, really anything that allows me to physically punish myself like running, swimming, hiking, boxing, etc.

I'm not trying to sound preachy here -- but do something nice for someone else. That gets me out of my head. There are a couple of things I do for volunteer work. Find something and do it.

Drink until you can't feel feelings.
That's a joke, by the way, don't actually do that based on my encouragement.

I write.
*ducks*
Seriously, I stop putting things off, make a list and get at it. The more I procrastinate, the bigger the logjam and the worse things seem to get. That, and eat chocolate and watch funny movies. Walking helps as well. Get some air and clear your head. Take a "Me" day. Smile. It'll all work out.

I watch movies, jerk off, or get high when I feel shitty. If I feel really bad, I have a nervous breakdown, which is actually very theropeutic.Sometimes I just lie down and listen to music.I want to be a comedian, so sometimes I call my friends and do a sit-down (as I call it) comedy set for them, which really works if I'm pissed off about something, which is always.I don't know, I'm bored with life.I don't even know what I do all day.I'm too bored to do anything, and anything I do do I'm thinking "shit, there's gotta be something else I can do" whilst doing it so I'm probably not the best guy to answer this question.

I load up a bowl, tune one of my guitars, and drag it into the living room. Once I start playing, it brings the rabbits out from under the curio cabinet where they stay during daylight hours. Their funny little quizzical attitudes crack me up, and the weed unfetters my fingers. While it may not be directly applicable to your situation, that works for me. The weed smoking would be my suggestion out of that all, if you don't play an instrument.

I crank my music up, sketch, and just zone out. I'm I'm lucky enough to be down on a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, I go to karate early and stay late. I always feel better after working out in the studio.
But generally it's just music that I really enjoy and relate to, and thinking with my eyes closed and head back. That helps me the most.

I chase down midgets and then kick them until they scream "The Demon is here! He is going to kill us all." Then I fantasize that I am Master Cheif.

Rabbits are great for cheering one up. They have puckish senses of humor and let's face it, they're kinda funny-looking, with those big hind legs and tiny front legs, long ears and all. Our male rabbit looks like he has a sock puppet for a head.
How could I be cheerless when these live under my furniture?
