Got my first (real) paycheck this week!!!

So yeah, I got paid on Sunday! I got my first part-time job after school was out and after my job orientation and two weeks of hard work I finally got my first paycheck!

It feels pretty good to be earning my own money. I used to do lawn work for people around my street, but that was just pocket money. Now I can make some serious bank and buy some of junk I've never been able to buy!

What am I gonna buy?.... My cell phone contract is up, so I was thinking about buying an iPhone 3G.... Not sure yet though, I need to do more research...

I suggest you save for a car, then live in it.
Congratulations.

Man, I don't get paid until 31st august because the system is retarded - and that won't be after august work, either - it's just a late paycheck thing.

It's gonna be like £700, but that should rightfully be paid on the 15th! An extra 16 days penniless for no reason! >:O

I remember mine also. I was really pissed off that so much had been taken out of it by the government.

It felt so good, then i realised that minimum wage is a lot like wanking... its nothing to be ashamed of, but its not something to boast about either.

You'll come to appreciate the non-taxed "fake" pay in time.
