‘Twas New Year’s Eve in the work-house…

    A question of grammar.

Is it personal choice only, or is there a “rule” about the following?

I’m not one of the types who kicks dogs

    or

I’m not one of the type who kicks dogs

    or

I’m not one of the types who kick dogs

    or

I’m not one of the type who kick dogs

If there is a rule, can you explain it?

Throw the lot out, they're all grammar murderers. Twenty five years, no bail.

Anyway, if you're the type of person who likes to give a dog a good kick; you're going to do multiple kicks against multiple dogs. So...

I'm not the type of person who kicks dogs.

I'd kill for a blueberry scroll, or maim for a apple one. Alas...

I'm the type who looks up from my laptop with great amusement as the guy who kicked the dog lets out pitiful yelps while hopping across my front yard with his other foot engaged in the snarling dog's mouth. (ruff ruff!)
