The Christmas Tree
The Christmas Tree
on its head,
a star of silver
firmly takes its place.
tiny incandescent hues
of gold, and red, and blue
then bathe the delicate, wilting
life of the cedar tree.
and 'neath the branches,
Firmly tucked...
a dozen foil-laden dreams.
