Yeah, the story died off at chap 12. I loved it, but I lost interest.

CHAPTER_1
What is virtual? When do things start to become threats? Somehow, in the past bundle of years, the line between a computer virus and a human virus has dissapeared. Virtual is no longer a word that means fake, it means deadly.
What was I thinking?
She was so much, and I was a child. I tried to save the world.
But now Im older, and that bitch is going to die. . .
CHaPTeR_2

No, I won't stand for it...
I stand at the threshold of death... overlooking what's left of the city.
Dead bodies, people crawling, hoping for life. The ray of hope that will never come.
I know she did this.
What can I do? She's a goddess, there is no way to stop her...
I clutch my bat tighter.
No, she must die.
Looking from my perch atop the ruined street, I can see nothing but rubble. Building that once stood vigilant representatives of this golden city, this city of endless technology where noone had to do any work. Everything... was automated.
Automated... not a word you hear nowadays. Noone wants a robot near them.
Machines are the enemy. The problem being, noone knows what is machine.
These once tall buildings, now sit in their own rubble, much like the owners.
I begin to walk. My shoes are torn, the top is loose at the toe. My clothes say no more about me. They are all rags, drenched in sweat, blood, tears. Which, nowadays, is about all that humanity adds up to.
No, forget the buildings. I stand vigilant. I stand as the protector of the weak.
I am humanities saviour, wether or not humanity knew it.
The problem being... not even I can tell friend from foe.
She... she was my raiser. She brought me up in the golden age of technology. She taught me everything, while my parents were to busy. Only God would've known that she was nothing more than a link between the worlds.
She was our robot servant.
But not long after I finished grade school... the hackers took the world.
They created virus', viruses that took the robots of the world...
And turned them.
Annie killed my family. She offered me a life with her, as a machine. I refused...
At first.
I feel guilty now, but I went with her.
It's amazing how a robot... so cold hearted, can have such a warm embrace...
I look to the sky, the moons are large and red.
Time for the hunt.

There's one! I can tell its a machine, its a virus.
On it's left arm, it bears the mark of an elite hacker, CTRL.
It's tyranny is done... it's standing over the dead body of a man.
Alot of 'dead' machines are lying nearby, leading me to believe this to be a hacker battle.
Normally, I pass these kind of things up...
But this virus didn't just kill other bots... it took out a human.
It's fucking going down!
Naturally, the virus knows I'm near. It turns to face me...
It's beautiful purple hair falling to its waist, it's perfect tan skin...
It's eyes.... the eyes... stare. So empty... nothing inside.
This is how I can tell machines from people...
There is nothing inside. . .
I grasp onto my bat, and charge forward. Each footstep carefully placed between rubble and broken robots, each bound forward a silent leap toward death.
Up goes my bat, ready for the swing home across the bots face.
CLANG!
I had expected this, it blocked it with its arm, and is preparing a plowing fist for my face. I quickly lean back and turn my entire body smashing its face in on the other side with my bat.
Before I fall onto my back, I pull my legs under me, the machine clanks and whirs with death in its empty eyes. It leaps twenty feet in the air, preparing for a death dive.
All I could see up above me was dark skys and a beautiful death machine, propelling itself for me. I spin and release my bat on a collision corse with her- it. I mean it.
It's NOT a her. Damnit, get it straight.
BAM!
Im hit in the face, that's what I get for not paying attention. Im down on something hard and cold, like everything else in this damned city. I hear my bat clang to the ground some distance away. I can hear a light pitter patter of the beautiful metal feet across the pavement.
She was coming at me again... never tiring... never human.
Then it deserves no mercy!
I rise, launching myself into the air with my legs outstretched. My feet catch her face for a nice dent. She backs down, but her rest period is a small moment in time to me. Again at me she comes...
There is no end.. in this second I realize the endless war I have...
I realize all the death there will be before I can stop them all...
I can see the end of it all... GRASP IT!
All I see is the bright yellow glow of death streaking towards me at speeds unimaginable...
That's when I start to lose it. What am I doing? I have no chance...
These aren't man made machines, they are death's servants!
NO! I can't lose it now, grab for it, take reality into mind. They are machines.
They break, like everything else...
Like a few of my ribs... when this bitch will hit me...
UGH! She got me in an uppercut. I heard the shatter of my ribcage, so many bruises, so many broken bones... it all slows me down.
But look at her, dents into her body, and shes no slower...
Then I can't be either.
In that moment, I saw this bitch as Annie... and in that moment... I lost it.
Grabbing a robots leg from the ground, I leap toward her and take another swing...
Swing after swing after swing. There will be nothing left when Im done with this thing...

It lay there... 'dead' and defeated.
I sit on a piece of building near the twitching mechanism.
Tossing the 'weapon' I had used to kill it, I begin to wipe the blood from my face.
I start spitting the blood coming from internal wounds onto the pavement.
It tastes good, y'know?
To have something that tells you you're human in your mouth.
It's the mark of humanity, the ability to die, the frailty.
But... even now...
The mechanism in the back of my brain is reacting and telling miroscopic machines inside my heart to patch up my internal wounds, and try to fix my ribs...
It's not because of Annie, that this thing is in my brain...
That these little microscopic machines work on me.
It's because of man, we made these. There are very few humans nowadays that are fully biological. We all have a bit of the cold machine within us...
One of the reasons differentiating those demonic killing machines from people is hard.
I lay back and activate the music program within me. Techno music blared from my inside, only I can hear it. This is also one of those points... where we made ourselves so much more like them.
I lay back... let the nano machines work on me..
I need to always be in top condition, there's little time where you can be like this, broken.
I don't want to get stabbed in the back.
"Launch program Viral Check 302.58" I say to myself...
I can see the interface through my eyes, the program scans me for viruses, and when it finds new ones kills them and updates itself to the next version.
You see, computer viruses can easily pass through humans..
Viruses that would shut a computer down... well, you can guess what they do to people.
DAMN!
Not to far down the street, I can see a flash of light, a giant scan in the middle of the air... a body starts to form...
A new virus. Look's like a copy of this one I just stomped all over...
But this time its being massed manufactured. Not my day...
Definately not my day...
CHaPTer_5
WAr_WitH_no_SOuLS
Staring vacantly down the street at the newly created viruses, I begin to shiver.
Yet again, a glimpse of the never ending evil, that which I cannot defeat.
I can already hear more scans happening at a much faster rate...
This is definately a hacker war, most likely over territory or something as stupid.
One hacker making ten perfect killing machines, like the one I defeated, the other making fifty pieces of junk. If I'm lucky, the stronger robots will get taken out by shear number... I have a lot better chance killing twenty of the weaker viruses then two or more of the others...
I can hear alot of clanging metal, bashes that would cave a mans skull in, endless bangs and high pitch metal on metal scrapes. I get up slowly and head over to my bat, which lies nothing more than ten feet away. I don't need to attract attention to myself from those things.
I walk over to a wall still standing from one of the many dilapidated buildings. Sitting, I decide I have nothing better to do but wait for the fight to end.
Dum... dum...doo do-
There!
What was that flash?!
Slowly creeping around the wall I try to catch a glimpse of the battlefield.
Now, in the middle of the battle was twenty new things.. these were obviously robots, with no attempt to look human. And... amazingly... they were taking out everything. Those weren't just some hackers bots, they are better then elite...
The new development didn't brighten my day...
There was no way for me to take those things on, and besides, Im wounded from my last fight. I need to get out of here, and fast, before I'm noticed by those monstrosities.
Turning, I start to head towards my home...
I eventually faded out... day dreaming as I ran home.
I hardly remember what I was thinking of... just suddenly I was home, as if the hour long journey had never happened.
Ahh... home. A couple pieces of broken building perched on eachother. I lift the flap of cloth I have for a door, and toss my bat inside. I grab the med kit I have on hand, and begin to tend my wounds before I curl up on my cloth pile to sleep...
My eyes shut... and in the blackness, I could still see the yellow eyes of the devil.
Those glowing, empty eyes...
Then, nothing...
ChaPTeR_6
WhAT_IS_HUmAN?
I wake up... my eyes are still groggy.
They begin to focus, the automatic lenses in my head whiring to make everything clear.
"Ahhh...." I began to feel better. The blue stains on me from my wounds were sticky, so I changed shirts. Blood is so messy...
Well.. I need to check up on my area...
See if anyone is missing. Also, I should check up with Dr.Miyato to see if everything healed properly from last nights fight.
Getting up, I immediately reach behind me for my bat, and I head out to check the area. You see, everyone checks on everyone nowadays, you need to know if somone was picked off. If so, the area would then be unsafe...
It wasn't long before I had made my rounds, everyone was in their homes. Some were sleeping, some were awake with fear. Not uncommon in these times..
Dr. Miyato wasn't in his home, so it was most likely that he was underneath it in his lab. Normally, he restricts access to it, but hes never been out of his home when I make my morning rounds... Best to check.
I go in his home, which is built much like mine, but alot more papers laying around... obviously hes up to something new... Opening the sliding door, I head down the dirt stairs...
I can see the color red on the ground... something that the lights were shining through... I got to the bottom of the steps, and see the jar of red thick liquid making the red on the ground. As Im about to touch it, I notice something else...
A larger container... and an arm was floating in it...
This was no ordinary arm.. there were weird... organic tubes coming out of it.
Like an organic version of the metal tubes we have in us that carry our blood.
"My my... what has the doctor been up to..." I ask myself...
"Oh... hello my friend." I turn to see the doctor standing before me. He has a large apron draped over himself, covered in some of the thick red liquid I saw before. His face is full of wrinkles, proof of his age of 137. His white hair was just barely rededing from the font of his forehead, and his face showing a little shock.
"What are you doing in my lab...?
"Doing my morning rounds... more importantly... what are you doing in your lab?" I return his question, very curious about the stuff I had found.
His brow furrowed... then he began to smile.
"Why, Im growing humans. . ."
ChApTeR_7

"You're doing what?!" I yell at the doctor.
Dr. Miyato's glasses shine against the light. I can see his eyes, they are red...
He's acting very different...
"I told you, I'm growing humans. Or I was, until you interrupted." He seemed bothered... but not by me finding out what he's doing, but that I interrupted him!
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You're brushing this off casually, as if it's normal!" I'm becoming angry... What is he thinking?
"How is it not normal? This is how humans are typically made anyways, grown that is."
"Yes, inside the mother's womb. That," I point to a large vat of green viscous liquid, "is not a womb!"
"Fine, it is a little different. But if I got any normal child, it would be like us. Not human."
"What... I am human. You're human, we're all human! What are you on? You're crazy! Im arguing with a freaking crazy man! What is wrong with you Doc?"
He stops to prop his glasses on his forehead. "But you see... we're not human. " I pause.. my eyes grow empty, my heart skips a beat... "Or, not fully human."
I breath out, "Of course not... we have a few upgrades from a fully biological being. I mean, the machines in the back of our brains, music programs, antivirus, but it stops there. We're hardly different from normal humans."
He begins to frown. "What? hardly different? Now, my friend, I must ask what you're on. Your blood vessels, what are they made of?"
I tap my wrist as I think. "I don't know what kind of metal it is exactly... but it's a biological metal. Everyone's born with it, it's normal... Isn't it?"
"No. Neither is your heart. Your eyes. Your skin. Your bones. Look in that jar behind you, the one with the arm. Notice the vessels coming out of it? Now that is a fully human arm. Those vessels are made of tissue. Normal humans have no metal within them."
"No metal? How? Their bones would break so easily! I mean, I was born with all of the metal in my body, it has to be normal!" I was baffled... if my bones weren't reinforced by the metal, I would die every time I fight a virus.
"No. It doesn't. Biometal, the stuff on your bones, your blood vessels... it was implanted in humans many years ago. What's unique about it is that it becomes a part of the user, it spreads in the system. The offspring of that person will have it too. Your blood. What color is it?" He raches for a clipboard behind him, tapping it with a pencil he has in hand.
"... Blue. What... you're gonna tell me that's not right either?"
"No, it isn't. See that other jar, the red one up on top of the shelf. That is human blood. You see... you really aren't that far from a robot."
"No. That's not true... Just last night.. I was thinking how great it was to taste my blood... to feel human. Are you telling me that... It's all fake?" I wasn't feeling right.. I was getting to anxious. My heart was pounding.
"Hardly, you're human allright, but far from the normal body plans. We all are. Tell me, did you think humans could catch computer viruses before we had to play god and make humans more advanced? The first time a virus infected a human, everyone played it off. Noone thought it could be true, it was a realization that we had gone to far. We had played the role of the maker to much. What were we to do... now that we had ruined humanity?" He paused.. as if he really expected an answer from me.
"What... How would I know?"
"Of course... you wouldn't. I can't expect you to. You weren't even around back then. I was... 98 years ago.. 2037. I was 39 years old. I opted for the surgery, every time something new came around I rose the challenge. I changed my body so much. You wouldn't know what it was like to be human. To be frail. Nowadays you needn't fear a papercut, some communicable disease that took the world by storm. No, nowadays you can only be infected by computer viruses." He was ranting on and on... his eyes were filled with madness, no sleep... Something was driving him though... Im not sure as to what.
"So. Here we are now, in this time and century. What are you doing in your lab?"
"I want to remake the world... Humans will be immune to everything but physical damage here. They won't be able to be harmed by computer viruses." I could tell he was hiding something... he was holding something back. He saw my eyes searching his for answers I didn't think he would give. "Back in the early 2000's, humanity hadn't mapped the entire human genome. Do you know what was said to be housed on the part they hadn't mapped yet?"
"The... human soul?" I vaguely remembered hearing that... I don't know where from, I rarely remember my past...
"Very good. Did you know that they did finally map that last part? Do you know what they found was on there? I'll tell you one thing about it... it was used to create the first robots that could function on their own, think on their own. It was all hush hush, governments in America and Japan only. They worked on it secretly. Do you know who they recruited in 2020? One of the greatest minds they'd ever get. At the ripe age of 21..."
My eyes widened. "You..."
"Yes, me. So, do you want to know what was actually on the last part of the human genome?" His eyes got shifty. They widened. I could tell his heart was racing, he was sweating. Something was wrong with him. Something was messing with his head.
"Tell me." He started to laugh. He shook as he laughed, he shook some more before he answered.
"The human soul! It was the human soul that was applied to robots to make them more humanoid. In fact, it's said that we... the metals put into our bodies, all the work we had done onto humanity. It's said that it has messed with our genome. In fact... machines are more human then we are!"
I was so lost...
Was he lying? I can't believe this. I've fought robots all this time, they can't be the right thing. No, they are evil, they kill for nothing. They have no soul...
But they do.
... And... could it also be true...
That I dont?

CHAPTER_8
mY_SiSTEr_MY_LoVE
"Why... are you telling me all of this. What are you gaining from my pain and confusion? Why do we need... these," I point to the arm in the jar. "things? They are useless. We don't need the olden people... I have a soul damnit!"
"No... I do think you have a soul. Maybe it's a new soul, created by man's shear will. I did not tell you this to cause you pain. I tell you this... because I need you to know it all. You're sister needs you to know all of this." I stop observing the lab and look at him... into his eyes.
"My what?"
"Sister. Do you want to let her down?" He heads toward the jar with the arm, and picks it up. Heading further into his lab, I follow.
"What sister? Did you find out something of my past?"
"No. She is not your biological sister, but she is your sister." I stop.
"I... I don't understand." I clench my fists.
"No, I wouldn't expect you to just know everything. Although... you will need to know everything on your journey." He put his hand up. "Wait here."
I obeyed. I don't know what's happening, so I can't just force everything... like I normally would. Usually... everything comes so easy to me. When I want to know something, I find out. That's not entirely true... I suppose.
Sometimes I can't get what I want. I can't know what I want.
Like my past... I remember Annie. I remember the death... No more.
I don't remember what my parents looked like... what my name is.
I always blame Annie, whatever she did to me when I left with her.
I heard a noise further up ahead. I finally leave my thoughts for reality, checking ahead of me all I see is dark, long hallway. A light in the distance flickers, illuminating some of the pipes along the walls. Many shelves line the hallways, full of jars of more body parts.
It sickened me. The site of these... 'real' human parts. What made them better than me? What about me made me less human than them? I sigh...
"She is now complete." The doc appeared as if from nowhere. "Would you... like to meet her?" His glasses gleamed from the lights hanging above. Red from jars of blood reflected on them... He looked different again. Somehow.. I can tell that he hurts more than I do... because he is not human. Something is wrong with him, and Im not sure what it is.
He begins to walk down the hall, into the darkness. I hadn't given him an answer yet... but I suppose he already knew my answer. I followed into the darkness.
I heard creeks, I heard mice scattering. It wasn't much further into the hallway... when I began to hear the thump of a heart.
"Do you hear that? That... thumping. That sound... had been driving me crazy. Something about a normal human heart, is just so loud. It drowns out everything around it."
We continued to walk.. the further we got the louder it became. The thumping.. relentless. I began to hear liquid sloshing around in a tank. Thumps against plexiglass. The doc turns, and I follow close behind. I entered a room lit barely by a red emergency light. I scan my surroundings. The room was full of tanks with half put together bodies.. some fully put together.
But only one tank had within it the thumping heart. The beating of the glass. The sloshing of the water. I peer into it... vision clouded by the green liquid inside.
Then... I can start to make out a figure. It moves closer to the glass...
BAM!
It collides with the glass as it makes another thump.
Inside was a naked girl, no older than 16. Her long raven black hair matted together in clumps inside the liquid. Her face obscured by a mask which fed her oxygen. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of green. A color I'd never seen in somones eyes before. Her face was so beautiful... I could see the frailty in her. I can see it around her. I could tell she feared for her life at every second of her existance.
She was human. I never knew... human was so beautiful.
CHaPTER_9
BeAUtY_Is_oUR_SaVIOuR
I stared at her in her tank...
She stared back, so much despair in her eyes.
"Wh....What... How long? How long has she been in there?" I'm still stunned by her beauty, and she continues to stare at me, saddened, caged, she felt like she was set on display. I can't say I blame her... but the sad look in her eyes.
It made my heart ache.
"I've been working on making her for many years, but she hasn't been able to move, talk... or comprehend anything until two months ago. She's my first success. The others..." He drew my attention away from her, back to all the other bodies in the other vats. "They were fully biological, but their brains do not work correctly."
"Why? Why did you create her?" I turn to look at the doctor, but my eyes are drawn back to the tank she's in.
"To save us. She will be the saviour of us all..."
"How? Save us? She's weaker then I am. She may be beautiful, but beauty means nothing against cold metal." I tried to make my point, but I could tell my view didnt phase him.
"It is said, that the only thing that will save us now. Now, in our time of metal and machine. Is us. You see, none of us are human anymore, so I needed to recreate a person who could save us."
"What? Even if she mates with another person, the baby will have bio metal. We'll taint her purity that way. Are you going to make a human man, so we can recreate the human race? And if so, to what end? What will that accomplish?"
"That... would accomplish nothing. Are you a fool? I do not wish to recreate all of the human race... But she. She can save us."
"How?" The doctor began to be impatient. His eyes got shifty. Heading over to a control panel near the tank she was in, he began pushing a series of buttons. "Doctor, what are you doing? And answer my first question, how will she make a difference?"
He was bothered by me now. He completely ignored me and continued pushing buttons. Soon, a loud suction noise was blaring louder then the heartbeat. All the green liquid was being emptied from her container. She began to panic, I don't think she knew what to do. As her perfectly shaped feet began to sink to the bottom, she tried to grab onto the glass wall.
It wasn't long until she was curled up in a ball on the metal floor of her container. She took the mask off her, and took real breaths from the air.
She began racking with coughs. He must've been giving her pure oxygen from that mask... the air in the world is laced with so many other things...
Crying, she began to stand on all fours. She tried to stand on her two legs, but fell against the glass. Using the wall to balance, she stood and looked at us.
"W... why did you... do this to me?" She shivered, her feet finally touched to metal which was incredibly cold to her. The doctor went around to the back of the container, and opened the door to it. As they came around, I suppose the doctor grabbed a cloak for her, because she was wrapped in it when she came into view again.
"Now my friend, take your sister... and get out of here. They will be coming for her... for me. They know what I was doing, just not where." His eyes were shaking, he was shaking. He grabbed his clipboard and tapped it some more. He sat against the container, and slid down the side to the floor.
"You... ought to be leaving. They want her... they want my work. Take her to your home..." He stared vacantly on the floor. "But they will find you. Be ready at all times to move. You cannot trust them. Don't... trust anyone. You never know who is one of them."
"I don't understand, how do the machines know about her? And why is she such a threat? You never told me how she was a threat. How she would save us." She walked to me, and fell into my arms. I supported her, but remained my questioning gaze at the doctor.
"She knows. Or... she will understand. When the time comes."
"Oh no, don't give me that bull."
I started to point a finger at him...
Then he took off his apron.
My eyes grew wide.
"I'm going to get rid of this place, they will not find this place."
Wrapped around his waist was enough bombs to take out this place, and more.
"Doctor, what the hell are you doing?!"
"Making sure they cannot get information from my lab, or from me.
I'd get running if I were you."
CHaPtER_10
PRoTeCTIoN
The doctor looked at me in a frenzy.
"Quick, break my legs before you leave!" He was grinding his teeth.
"What?! I will not do that!" I was staring at him, bewildered.
"I want to be sure I don't try to save myself... Im worried I will not be able to kill myself so easily. Please..." He reached on the shelf behind him for a saw. "I will not mutilate myself... if you will nto break my legs, cut them to the point they are unusable."
I stared at him... waiting for him to laugh and tell me this was all a joke.
I waited... for him to say it.
But noone jokes nowadays.
I took the saw from him... and crouching down to his level on the floor, I took the saw in hand. Staring at his eyes... I ran the saw once across his legs. I saw a slight cringe in his face... but his eyes compelled me to continue. I ran it against his flesh more and more! I continued until the blue goo that is our artificial blood gushed onto my hands.
"Take her... protect her... let nothing happen to her she does not will!" With that, he flipped a switch on the bombs wrapped around his stomache. A timer began to flash above the bombs, the lights dancing and dancing. The numbers showed 6:00.
5:59
5:58
We had to go.
Wrapping my arms around the girls waist, I threw her over my shoulder. Running as fast as I could in the pitch black hallway, I could hear the liquid sloshing up ahead. Running past the first vat I had seen, the jar of blood, the shelf where the arm I had seen once was, I made it to the door. Shoving them open, I ran on through.
I wasn't sure how bad the explosion would be. I had to travel fast... far... get way out there.
"Stop... hurt. My heart... hurts." My eyes widened... I stopped.
Setting the girl down infront of me, I looked at her. Her eyes seemed to glow. Her hair fell, still matted from the green liquid, into her face. She lolled her head, side to side. It seemed she was thinking.. but I wasn't sure.
"What did you say?" I began to reach out for her.
She hit my hand away.
"Don't touch me." She shyed away, looking down upon the ground. She rolled her eyes into a deadlock with mine. "I said... my heart hurts. Lots of pain. You do know what pain is, right... robot?" I could see a gleam of hatred in her eye. She grinned.
I slapped her in a heartbeat.
"Never... call me a robot." I rasped out. "I don't know why the doctor did this... And why he left me with you. But I will keep you alive and protect you."
"You can never protect me! You're already one of them! Can you protect me from yourself?!" Her eyes were wide, there was so much hate in her voice, considering she was supposedly just fully born.
"What do you know? You're a newborn! Explain to me what makes you so special, that you can hate me before you know me. And I am not a robot. Understand?" I put a firm grip on her shoulders. She looked off into the sky.
"Three.. Two.." She was counting down...?
"OH SHI-" The explosion came, caught us completely unaware.. or me at least. She had braced herself against a large collapsed wall. I heard her scream, but all I remember is flipping into the air, like a ragdoll...
Then landing on my head...
Black.
Many hours later... I awoke. My eyes cringed against the sun.
The sun.. something I had not seen in quite a while.
So much smog... so many black clouds.. crying for all the dead people.
Wait... where is...
She's...
She's gone...
Chapter 11
Living In Waste
What a freak. He doesn't know what he's talking about.
Hah! He thinks he's human?
"Agh!" I stubbed my toe yet again.
All I remember of this place...
New York...
The doctor had hooked up some machine to my head that put memories of this place.
But...
It looks as if none of the once great buildings stand.
And judging by Mr. Fun back there, humans are robots.
I let out a sigh.
Sitting down on a nearby broken wall, I pick my feet up and curl them underneath me.
I grab onto the toe I had stubbed, and wrapped my fingers around it.
My feet and all the little toes on them were red. I brushed the dust and what not from them, and curled up on the felled wall. The air was cold...
With just this cloak around me, and all this rubble...
No food...
No water...
I might just need Mr. Fun to survive.
I look at the sky.
The clouds and sun are beyond compare to the images and memories that were planted within me by my 'father'.
Oh well.. it can't be helped. I'll end up dying here of starvation... staring at the clouds that remind me of animals that don't seem to have ever lived in this desolate wasteland.
A cold breeze...
I shiver.
Getting up, I crawl under the piece of wall I was laying on. Making sure it was propped up securely, I pulled my whole body in the cloak and shut my eyes.
As I began to dream, I could hear lots of footsteps somewhere close by...
I fade out of reality. I forget where I am....
And I dream about the beautiful cottony clouds in the sky.

Running...
I don't know where I'm going...
Do humans run faster then I do?
Because they are lighter? No metal?
Or maybe they are shortwinded...
To think I know so little about my own species...
Where did that dumb bitch get to?
I was leaping and running through tons of rubble.
I constantly backtracked.. circled... followed my course again.
Slightly broadening my search area... unsure of how far she could get.
"Damnit!" I found myself saying this aloud alot. In hopes of her hearing me, and coming into the open. Wether she would try to run further or just give in and come with me didn't matter. I would take her one way or the other.
Bang?
I hear gunshots now...
Not a good thing to be hearing that in this area.
Lots of metal bashing... Colliding with more of it's kind.
There was some sort of battle going on up ahead, and I wasn't in the mood.
Heading up ahead faster, I could see the battle field come into view.
Large shadows began to cover the land, storm clouds were rolling in.
Inside large infrastructures that were still slightly standing, I could see alot of people.
There were scans in the sky for both sides, more units being sent out and used.
The scans were slowing for both sides every time more viruses came out. I'm guessing that they're both running out of units to send, at any rate, there were still a good 100 robots in total on the battle field.
I scanned the area quickly, searching for something out of place.
And wow, was it hard to miss. At the center of the battle, there she stood. Robots on all sides of her, it seemed that there were always hands on her. Within seconds of grabbing onto her, more hands would kill the owner of the other hands, and it was a never ending cycle. I could hear her screaming, and I could see the bruises forming on her arms, face, body.
She was trying to just curl up in her cloak and die, but the robots wanted her.
There was no way she would be forgotten that easily.
The doctor appointed me the task of keeping her alive...
Keeping her safe.
But with the numbers of the enemies there...
Swooshing in and saving her didn't look possible.
If I waited for the battle to end, and take out the few weakened enemies left...
She may very well be dead by then.
Wait...
Why wasn't she dead yet?
She's a human, robots should just kill her.
Doc said she'd save us all, so if they knew that they would kill her.
Somethings wrong, they should've just killed her at the start and avoided the battle.
They want her for a reason, and none the less, I can't have her being hurt.
I began to charge forward, and I let out a warcry.
Gathering the attention of every combatant, I leaped from the peak of some rubble, and landed right in the middle of it all.
Grabbing the girls hand, I gave her a seconds glimpse.
"I won't let you die."
