PHyschological thriller story

I had this idea about a story. It's about this famous author, but he had done really immoral things to get to where he was. Anyway, he has this amazing idea for a story, so sits down at his computer and starts to type, but the computer doesn't respond. He tries writing with everything, but he can't see any words, finally he scratches "The End" deep in his arm, and kills himself.

If someone wants to elaborate, feel free.

Kinda reminds me of Secret Window. Maybe paper and pen would work better than a computer?

I thought this resembled secret window also, where Johnny Depp is accused of stealing the story but then uncovers hes basically lost his mind (sorry if I ruined the ending for people who wanted to watch it)

Wouldn't he try to ask a friend or someone close to attempt to write for him? If he did would the words come out for them and they think he crazy or would the words still not appear and they believe him?
