Did you see it?

Were you watching?

Did you see what happened like I did? Were you there? Did you get scared... like I did?

It wasn't supposed to happen. Well, it wasn't supposed to happen like that. No, I didn't plan it. I had nothing to do with it. But once it started, oh once it started, everyone knew what was going to happen. If you were there, you would know too. Did I ask you already? Were you there?

I was walking that night. That wasn't supposed to happen either but neither are fights, love lost, and rage. Life goes on. I was walking. I didn't really feel like I was walking though. I knew I was present but it was more like I was riding a train, looking out the window. I was there but disconnected from my surroundings... and that was fine. As long as I was walking, things were fine. I didn't know they were going to get better.
Don't balk at me, you thought it too. Who wouldn't? A boring night was turned into a great story, at least some good urban legend. You should have been there, were you?
I still don't have all the details. When I got on the scene, she was already crying. I don't know if he had hit her yet or if he'd just owned up to cheating on her... again. She was pretty upset though... upset enough to throw the ring back at him. I liked that.
I'd heard a little bit about her simply through word of mouth. Good looks, good family, good education, guess it wasn't good enough for her. Him, everyone knew him. Every father's nightmare and the diamond studded eyetooth to prove it. I don't know what she was doing with him but that's a cliche we can just lose. Something she was going to have to get used to... or so we thought.

oh man......I've got to crash, may finish this later....juz sooo tired...sorry!

Nor are, I think. Liked this sentence though. This story looks very intruiging so far and I think the style is very effective. Keep on keepin' on.
