Does not fit
Shadows circle around the fire
at false dawn while the embers die
rustling trees, tension mounts higher,
owls hoot, seconds pass slowly by.
Oppressive silence fills the air,
turn of the tables, hunter to prey,
muscles quiver, nerves are bare
will to survive keeps panic at bay.
Slowly he rekindles the flames,
chasing the dark with brighter light,
the beast witdraws as the fire claims
his night-vision and the will to fight.
