Thoughts that have no category
These were thoughts that really don't fit any category, just ramblings. I hope this is alright to post them in here.
This first one is thoughts that ran through my mind after a good session with the boxing bag. Is it a muse?
It’s evening and my energy seeps out of my pours, as though this was its only release from the daily grind of life. Like a cat I want to prowl the unseen and mysterious corners of the world. My feet itch to jump across the soft grass of time, my hands crave the power in strength, and my mind yearns for the historical knowledge of old.
As my eyes take in the mundane pattern of life, I try to see through it, see the reality that is so different from the naked eye. I look beyond and feel the energy of the earth that vibrates rhythmically around my very soul, wanting to take me with it to smell its sweet perfume and allure of animal innocence.
A soul can fly with pure energy guiding its flight, but the flesh is grounded to the earth, forcing it to crave the feel of adrenaline pumping through the veins, sweat clinging the surface of skin, and the feel of exertion and pain in the muscles.
My elbows rest heavily on thighs as salty water drips from my hair. My mind is numb from the fight I put my body through. It cries out; enough let me rest. It will do for now, until my mind craves again tomorrow.
And this other one is just plain strange.
She was running around in the forest naked and crazy as a rabid skunk. When she found the Fountain of Knowledge, she screamed for release of her terror filled world. The more she shreeked in disillusionment, as she frantically clawed at the base of the stump with her bloody fingers, the more the ancient oak stood solid refusing to share its wisdom.
The wolves sniffed the ground smelling the lost soul. But instead of closing in on their prey they stepped away in revulsion. The moon cast its eery glow, as though it was God's eye watching the scene below. And the Jackel crept closer in an erotic dance of death.

Wow, Kimberly, I just loved that second one. Why didn't you post it in flash fiction, (or flesh it out and make a short story of it?) =D>

Yeah that second one was really different. It would work in falsh fiction and definetly work as a Short Story if it was added onto a little. *smiles* Creepy though!

Way to get the forum flowing.
Unlike the other two, I prefer your third one---great imagery and vocabulary choice. I think you could have made a few of these into poems if you so chose.
I do however have to agree that the second one could have been made into a short story if you put your mind to it.
Great post

Hmmm, Flash Fiction. I'll have to check out that forum. I don't think I've been in that one yet. Maybe there is a place for this stuff afterall.
Poetry, me? I don't know how to keep a rythem going. I'd be laughed out of the poetry section. I think I will stick with stories and my strange musings, but thanks for the suggestion, Fadoin.
Thank you for your comments, everyone.

I like the second one; it reminds me of Herbert's Dune. Lots of "one with the world/universe" vibe coming through.
