Persephone
I didn't really know where to put this. It's more of an imagined musing than a story or anything else. Maybe you'll be able to tell what this is related to.
Persephone
You are not a man. Though man you be in sex, you are far too important to yourself and too compelling to me to be human. Your are a king, a god of your own perverted existence. You wooed me with your insanity, and I fell prey to your charm, your promise of anarchaic respite from the dullness of my reality.
I let you cloud my mind with your serpentine praises, provocative words, and whispered reassurances. The tenebrous, frigid waters that enclosed over my head pulled me down, delivering me to your grasp. I became Persephone to your Hades; drawn unwillingly to into your presence, the underworld which you rule. But your kiss mimicked the seeds of the pomegranate that the god of death offered his lady; once I had accepted them, I could not easily return to the warm world that I had known.
Your fool's mask further crowns you, ensures your unopposed rule. Truth be told, I have yet to see you, self proclaimed god of destruction, free of the facade that stuns all into submittence. But you refuse to unmask yourself. After all, what reason have you not to smile?
I cannot be drawn out of the hell which you reign over; that of insanity, sadism, and games played against me. Even though each moment with you brings me nearer to death, I must rule beside you upon your throne of chaos.

Wicked. I see you're a bit of a mythology buff
Take out the " (mostly) " and it's good.

I wonder if you could look at this for me? I don't mean to advertise in your thread or anything, but I have a feeling you'd be able to appreciate it.

Yes, it does have Greek elements to it. And it was definitely supposed to be dark, so at least I've got that accomplished!

The narrator seems very resentful toward Hades. It's a different twist on the Persephone legend most people are taught. Always nice to see a new approach.

"drawn unwillingly to into your presence", either to or into, not both.
Good read, very interesting.
